Description:


In this introduction to portraiture, Wanda will cover the proportions and facial features of both adults & children. You will be doing full drawings in pencil, conte pencils and watercolours focusing on proportions and skin tone, and a variety of paper types will be used.

 • 9”x12” Drawing Pad (70lb – 90lb)

 • 12-Piece Sketch Pencil Set with various H's, B's and an HB

• White Eraser

 • 12” Plastic Ruler

 • Metal Pencil Sharpener

 • Blending Stomps #4 & #6

 • Sanding Paper Block

 • Fine Tip Black Marker

  • Conte Pencils: White, Black, Brown

 • Pastel Chalk Pencils in Skin Tones i.e. Brown, Flesh Pink, Cream White, etc...)

 • Variety of Coloured Pastel Papers

 • Watercolour Set of Paints with Skin Tone Colours i.e.- Jack Richardson

 • Watercolour Paper and Brushes

• Transfer/carbon paper(s) (Optional)

 Please note that you will need to bring your own images to be studied and used in class for longer studio work. The instructor will provide weekly booklets and handouts. The light box will need to be available for use in class.
